Ha... thanks facebook!

I got what I wished for LOL. There's a glitch at crackbook and I can't get to any games.....good time to do the blog post I guess.
We had a meat free day today....for dinner we had Gardenburgers, couscous with red peppers and baked beans....super yummy. Everyone liked it all! Following the rules is getting easier every day.
I am kinda doing WW points with Nancy and while dinner was quite low I ate a whole avocado for lunch...EEK! But is was sooo good it was worth the points.

RULE 30: Eat well-grown food from healthy soil.
Michael Pollan states it would have been easier to say "eat organic" as it is true that food certified organic is usually well grown in healthy soil, soil nourished by organic matter rather than pesticides. But there are many wonderful farmers and ranchers in America for tho they may not be certified organic for whatever reason, they do grow excellent food. They should not be overlooked. Soils rich in organic matter produce more nutritious food, food that is higher in antioxidants, flavonoids, vitamins and minerals. But remember, food that travels cross country in a truck diminishes the nutritional value...so it's best to eat food that is both organic AND local.
