I think it's my favorite day of the week. It's usually a relaxing morning with my cup of tea, the newspaper and a dog or three curled on my feet. I don't have anything pressing to accomplish today and I don't have a list a mile long. So it's going to be a spontaneous kind of day. Maybe Barnes & Noble or watch some Tudors!
Here's today's rule
RULE 8: Avoid food products that make health claims.
For products to carry health claims on it's package it must have a package, thus it's more likely to be processed rather than whole food. It's the products of "modern food science" that make the boldest health claims, and these claims are often based on incomplete and bad science. Such as margarine, it was one of the first "industrial foods" to claim it was more healthy than traditional food it replaced. It turned out that it contains trans-fats that give people heart attacks. The healthiest food in the supermarket (fresh produce) do not come in packages.
If anyone is reading this please share your thoughts. I'd love to hear them.
Have a wonderful Sunday!
ciao!
