Healthy restaurants?

I sure wish the Moosewood Restaurant was near me! I would love to enjoy a meal there. It's serves healthy organic fare. I have a few of their cook books in my Amazon cart and I am having a hard time deciding which one I want. Maybe this one? BUT then again maybe I should try a few first: recipes ! Isn't that cool that even tho they sell cookbooks they share recipes. They even specify which book the recipe came from....I can't wait to try the Quinoa Stuffed Peppers and Mediterranean Lentil Salad mmmmm!

And now for todays rule....
RULE 23: Treat meat as a flavoring or special occasion food.
While vegetarians are usually healthier than carnivores that does not mean that you need to eliminate all meat from your diet. Meat is a nourishing food, so Michael Pollan doesn't tell us to stop eating meat, he just says to eat mostly plants, not ONLY plants! Flexitarians, who are people who are nearly vegetarians eat meat a couple of times a week and are just as healthy as vegetarians.
There is evidence that the more meat there is in your diet, especially red meat, the greater your risk of heart disease and cancer.
So consider having a 4 ounce steak instead of 8 and double up on the veggies. Your heart will thank you.
