I'm gonna post a quickie today....I know I'm boring you but if this journal/blog keeps me on tract that's what counts! Plus I am vowing to spend less time on the net, especially crackbook, um I mean facebook. I have at LEAST 50 books waiting to be read, not counting the magazines that have been piling up!
So here's:
RULE NUMBER 3: Avoid food products containing ingredients that no ordiary human would keep in the pantry!
Ethoxylated diglycerides? Cellulose? Xanthan gum? Calcium propionate? Ammonium sulfate? The food scientists' chemistry set is designed to extend shelf life, make old food look fresher and more appetizing than it really is! Plus you get to eat more. Have these additives proven to be a hazard to your health? It's hard to determine but they haven't been eaten by humans for very long so it's best that they be avoided.
I should remind you that these rules are taken from FOOD RULES AN EATER'S MANUAL by Michael Pollan. I want to give credit where credit is due. I LOVE LOVE LOVE his books!
So by following these rules I am learning to eat better and have already lost a few pounds plus I am sleeping better. I have mainly been avoiding HFCS, limited regular sugar and cut out all crappy snacks. So cheers for me!
See ya tomorrow! CIAO!

I have been debating buying that book. It's in my cart at amazon. I think you have convinced me!!!
Mary Jo...It's a small book that you can read in probably less than a half an hour LOL. I like having it around to keep me focused.

Good luck in you journey.
