Turning 50 isn't so bad. I started celebrating last weekend by going to breakfast with my good friends, little did I know that was planned to keep me out of the house so Nancy could decorate and cook for MY suprise party!!! A few weeks ago I thought she had something up her sleeve, but I didn't catch any other clues so I thought we were just going to go out to dinner like any other year. What a suprise!!! What better way to start 50 off with 50 pink flamingos and 50 balloons hanging in your front yard.
I've never had a birthday party so this one made up for it! I love you Nancy, you are the BEST sister and friend I could ever wish for.....and thanks Karen and Marian for all you did too!!! Love you both!
Oh.....my coworkers also planned a suprise for my day Monday. I was given a suprise breakfast and ANOTHER cake!!! WHOOHOO!
If that wasn't enough when my paystub came from the temp agency it had happy birthay printed on it with a little hand written note by the man I dealt with, AND a 10 dollar bill paperclipped to it! LOL Better than a sharp stick in the eye!
I also got a few things in the mail from my wonderful friends! Hugs to you all!
Whew.....I think things have wound down now, I have some obligations that I need to take care of this weekend. But nothing else much planned.
Well....after my first week of being 50 I can surely say "it ain't so bad"

It's amazing you're still standing for all your celebrating. hehe
Hee hee - did you really think you were going to get away with not having anything for your birthday??
I am so far behind on reading blogs -- just wanted to pop in here and say that I am just so happy you had such a fantabulous birthday! You certainly deserve it! ((BIG hugs))
