Big Monday

Well, it was a big Monday here in my neck of the woods. Record temps...oh and it was a huge day in the auto world. The UAW went on strike today. First time since 1976. I hope they come to an agreement and end it quick. I agree adamantly with the UAW and do not want the workers to give up anything else. They gave and gave and now it's time for the company to give a little. Jobs, jobs, jobs ....that's where they've came to a standstill after all the talks they've been having to resolve issues. We need to keep these jobs in Michigan!!! Whew. I get all worked up over it and I don't even work in the industry, just know tons of people who do.

Well....I had my heart set on xm radio, but alas, it's not to be. I did tons of research and still was not sure of the reception in my area. I went to the local BestBuy and talked to a really nice (and honest) dude in the car auto department. He sounds like he knew what he was talking about. He said the reception in this area is not good. He said I would need an outside antenna on the building, um, nope not possible at work LOL.
So I did a little more research and eliminated most mp3 players except good ole' ipod. I spent my birthday moola on an 8 gig 3rd gen nano .... I've been looking at them the last few days and was still unsure, but when I peeked at the ipod website this morning and they had the red one up and it had a red MINI on the screen! I knew it was the way to go. I took it as a sign... (the red one was not pictured yesterday) Is that crazy or what? LOL I played a bit this evening and found it super easy......that's why I picked ipod. I need ease! I even downloaded some NPR podcasts!!! That is just what I was looking for, I get bored with just music, so these podcasts are exactly what I want! Yehawwwww. They are so new there are no cases to buy yet, so I'll be watching for them. Don't want to scratch up my new baby!
