I am always happy it's Friday ... even if I have no plans. The trip to Krogers for blueberries was a bust. I bought 4 pints since I have been eating so many and they were CRAP! I am actually going to return them today. I HATE returning things so we'll see how that goes, plus I've never returned food before. I stopped somewhere else today to get some different ones and after checking out about 20 pints that each had some fungi growing on them I gave up and bought frozen .... eh, they are just ok. Oh well.
Let's get to the rule before Maddie bugs me LOL...
RULE 27: Eat animals that have themselves eaten well!
What the animals eat strongly influences the nutritional and healthfulness of that animal. This is true for meat, milk and eggs. This is overlooked by the industrial food chain in it's quest to produce huge amounts of cheap animal protein. This has changed the diet of most of our food animals in ways that have damaged their health and HEALTHFULLNESS. We feed animals a diet of grain to make them grow quickly BUT if these animals were pastured, eating green plants their meat will be healthier for us. They will contain healthier types of fat (more omega-3's and less omega-6's) as well as more vitamins and antixiodants. Wild meat is very healthy as they do not eat grain. When purchasing meat, milk and eggs look for pastured products. You will pay more for these products but it will be worth it.
