And now for the no scissor scallops...I really like using scalloped paper on my layouts, I HATE tracing and cutting them out by hand, so I figured out a way to make them from any paper and any size!
All you need is a compass, a small circle coluzzle, a coluzzle knife and matt, and paper of course.
First draw a circle with the compass
with a circle coluzzle line up the half circle to the line on your circle you drew with the compass
keep lining the coluzzle up and cutting til done
flip it over so you don't see where you drew the circle and that's it!
Now for my disclaimer, I am not a mathematician and I don't do any calculations so that the scallops come out even at the end, so I just add an embellishment or put that part under another element on the page. See how they don't match up in the last photo, upper leftish?

Wow! That's pretty impressive! I never thought of that before. That's why they call you J-Fab, I guess!!
This is so very cool Miss J-FAB....love it.
Love the glitter snow too,,it's so pretty when it isn't freezing outside!!
Makes me want to get a coluzzle!
this is just tooo cool. just last night i was looking for my circle punch to do a half circle border - could not find it so this idea will work great - just need to find my circle coluzzle now lol
I love this technique -- you are so clever -- so J Fab! :) Thanks for sharing!!!
Very cool Jayne!
too cool, oh and I will still do the challenges, I'm slacking a bit.
Look at how pretty this is with the two sizes of scallops. Unfortunately, I am too impatient to do all that work. :P How about I pay you to do it for me?? :D It really is a cool technique and I think that you submit it somewhere. smiles...
Neat idea, I need the coluzzle(?) thingie now...
Such a cool technique. I love the look, but I'm with Christi, impatient is my middle name!! I wonder if I could try it with my CM tools - I just might give it a try. Thanks for sharing.
thanks for the comments everyone!
Christi ... Theresa...this technique is EASY! Really, sooooo much faster and easier that cutting and tracing by hand!
