Foodie or food snob?

I'm not sure which of those best describe me. My interest in food began while cooking with my mom and auntie. I have the sweetest memories of us being together in the kitchen, cooking, baking, eating the fruits of our labor and sharing recipes. They taught me so much. But for me it's not just about the eating, I love to learn all I can.... I read cook books and novels about food/cooking, watch FoodTv, read blogs and listen to podcasts. I love visiting stores with kitchen gadgets and new markets. I'm always up for a road trip to the surrounding Detroit area, there are tons of neat markets to peruse thru.
I guess I'm a wanna be baker, chef, cook or just foodie!
My kitchen is filled with fun stuff to cook with. I haven't used a castiron skillet since I lived at home. Nancy dug hers out of her wedding stash and Randy has it all seasoned now, and boy I forgot how much better food tastes when cooked in one.
So all you wannabe foodies out there, check out the splendid table ....good stuff on their website and the podcast is great!
Well, dinner is ready so ciao for now!

When can I come for dinner??? :)

I'm not much of a cook -- but I sure enjoy the Food Network and seeing what they come up with! We have it on a lot in our house.
