Relishing the day!

It's another beautiful here in my neck of the woods...... I love these end of summer not quite fall days. Not too hot or cold.... like mama bear said "it's just right"

I worked at my scrap table yesterday, not creating, but doing something that needed to be done quite some time ago..... adding all my transactions, debits and credits into my checkbook ledger. UGH! What a JOB! I am making a resolution to write it down daily. Yeah...I have high hopes

I was a coffee clatcher today....when I went to 7-11 to get a cofcap (that's half coffee half cappuccino for those of you out of the know) and my friend was there getting a coffee too. I see a few regulars there on weekend mornings, just sipping their coffees, chatting, parked there between the coffee counter and the coolers....I was one of them today. Heehee. We chatted for almost half an hour, catching up on the week. A good start to the day.

Let's see....I'm going to do a phrase of the day with the letter "m" rather than just a word...I heard this recently and it made me think, it's important. MISPLACED ANGER, do you know what that is? It's the anger we have, usually about something stupid, that we pass on....for instance, you get cut off in traffic, your boss yells at you, you hit 3 red lights in a row when you're running late for an appointment and instead of just brushing it off, you take that anger and frustration off on someone else. Like the cashier that rings you up or the person who answers your call at the company you call to inquire about your latest phone/cable/power/whatever bill. You get it? Why get so mad over something usually out of your control OR THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE CAUSED. Cashiers/call center reps or anyone for that matter do not deserve to be the brunt of your/my anger. I guess it all comes down to common courtesy, the do onto others mantra. So the next time you get angry, stop and think about it for a minute. Don't ruin someone else's day because yours isn't going so great, breathe deep and maybe your day will improve!

Well...I'm off to read the Sunday paper....hope your day is 'JUST RIGHT'

Sounds like a great day! And I like your phrase of the day -- I think we all have misplaced anger sometimes. Good reminder to keep it in check! :)

You know you're a coffee addict when you recognize the regulars hehe. We're so bad some of the "baristas" know our order before we even ask. Glad you had a fun day.
