Long time no see!

Whew...the ick is completely gone, it lasted til Saturday. Just a little bug I guess...thanks for all the well wishes...hugs to all my buddies out there!

The first day of the week is almost done and one more day closer to my long weekend...to the UP of Michigan!!! Yup...this chick is going camping. I think I prefer a 5 star hotel BUT hey I need to experience the outdoors once in a while. I haven't been camping in years...I'm sure it's going to be a blast. I'm going with my 2 good buddies, we'll all be taking our kids (dogs...LOL) Barq's has never been camping, and just stepped his paws in a lake last month. He was so cute prancing on the sand...so my week is going to be full getting ready...plus I have tickets for to the Loons baseball game tomorrow. I want to make cookies and puppy chow to take. So I'll have to get to the grocery store sometime soon.

We will be camping at Lake Muskallunge very close to the big fire that was a few miles from Newberry. It's 80% contained so I feel sure we won't have any issues. I believe it's burned appx 15,000 acres!!! Scary! We also will be very close to Lake Superior, so I expect the nights to be very chilly! I'm not sure how much time we'll have to chillax since we plan on visiting Pictured Rocks and Taquamanon Falls. Ohhh....and of course we'll stop in Mackinaw for a little touristy action....I am getting so excited. Well....enough of my mini vacation agenda.

Let's do a word today....think I'm at "k"....funny thing about k is that it's sometimes useless...what's up with that? Why do we spell knee or knife with a k? Or knock, knight, knoll or knit....I say we either use it or lop it off!!! Next time you use one of those words add the k...'K?
